Animated 3D voxel sculptures, generated by t-SNE. The sculptures get assembled via gradient descent, and this process can be observed during the initial phase of the animation, when voxels rapidly change positions. Eventually the sculptures are complete and voxels no longer move. However, the sculptures as a whole continue to rotate and change their color or lighting.

All rendering is done by a single fragment shader that implements a voxel-based ray tracer. There are four distinct lighting scenarios, indicated by the "theme" feature. Requires WebGL2 and a powerful GPU. If it doesn't run smoothly on your machine, consider reducing the size of your browser window.

This work was inspired by an article by Inigo Quilez about voxel lines and occlusion.

Mouse controls:
Left click + drag: Rotate scene
Scroll down/up: Zoom in/out
Right click + drag: Pan

Keyboard controls:
Space bar: Pause the animation (mouse controls still work)
Letter s: Save screenshot as a png
Numbers 1, 2, 3: Set anti-aliasing level. 1 is lowest (default), 3 is highest. Anti-aliasing requires a very powerful GPU.
