In “The Syntax of Taste”, code becomes cuisine. A canvas is divided into four equal parts—a minimalist plate—where each serving is randomly chosen from a digital pantry of 39 stylized images: HTML meals, CSS desserts, and JavaScript drinks. Powered by p5.js and fxhash, the selection is algorithmic yet personal, deterministic yet surprising. Each render serves a unique visual tasting menu, where structure (a 2×2 grid) meets the serendipity of generative randomness.

Behind the simplicity lies a refined system: images are loaded in preload, shuffled using $fx.rand(), and drawn in static harmony. No two outputs are the same, yet each belongs to the same visual language of edible markup and aesthetic code.
