“The Anatomy of Reflection” is the third segment in the ongoing “anatomies” generative art series, a project that explores the interplay between human experience and code. Each piece in the series is loosely based on the same algorithm, which evolves and diverges over time from its original set of instructions.

In this work, reflection serves as both a process and a means of deeper self-understanding. It exposes the limitations of our perspective while also providing significant opportunity for development and regeneration. Connections to the imperfections and fragility of human bodies and human creations are made. Simple geometries and scientific-like notations, broken through irregular reflections, augment how pliable our minds are in perceiving (and reflecting) truth and reality.

Through an intricate interweaving of various states, “The Anatomy of Reflection“ aims to illuminate how moments of reflecting may trigger transformation—both within the code and within ourselves.
