The lace aesthetic began to stir the minds of the public in the middle of the 20th century. With the light hand of Coco Chanel, the sexual revolution began to gain new traction, the consequence of which was the fashion designers' traditional idea of the beauty of the female body.

The images of the time absoluted the sexuality of the women. Every pattern, every curve and every hue was seen as something perfect, intriguing and hypnotic. The final touch of the "revolution" was the use of knitwear, which allowed the underwear to become even tighter and more provocative.

The idealized image of women in the dreams of men at that time was a vivid symbiosis of personality with elegant, feminine harmony, which embraces inspired the strongest individuals to create and to innovate.
