"Technicolor Soft Serve" is an extremely drippy and gloopy abstract digital painting. The artwork animates with a vertical swipe gesture, mimicking the seductive infinite scroll design that's so ubiquitous on social media platforms (designed to keep us consuming content and coming back for more). New colors and forms are revealed with every additional swipe. Each mint repeats itself over a 24 hour cycle.
"Technicolor Soft Serve" was originally created in 2020 and modified for the fxhash platform in 2022. This version was made in p5.js using a custom GLSL shader. It runs in fullscreen mode and looks great on both landscape and portrait displays.
