T.O.E - Theory Of Everything
IPFS
20 January 2025•TEZOS•IPFS
In physics, the theory of everything strives to fully explain and link together all aspects of the universe. The closest, physicists have come so far to this theory, is quantum mechanics.
The quantum realm is most obscure and intriguing. I am fascinated about it since I studied basic physics.
Looking even deeper inside the building blocks that make up atoms, everything becomes unimaginable. Quantum behaviour, hyperspace and parallel dimensions are only explainable in mathematical formulas. The strange behaviour can be observed in experiments E.g.
- Spooky action at a distance Two separate Particles a kilometre apart from each other behave synchronised.
- The double slit experiment A beam of electrons behaves as a stream of separate particles -like trickling sand- as soon as you measure it. If you don’t try to measure it, it behaves like an expanding wave -like on the surface of water-.
- Schrödinger’s cat experiment An imagined cat in a box is dead and alive at the same time
- Quantum tunnelling A particle can cross barriers they should not be able to
- Brane Theory An multidimensional object inside a quantum can at the same time be as large as the whole universe or even bigger.
All things we call reality are made up by frequencies, oscillating waves and membranes. Everything is connected through these waves, frequencies, energy.
I love these frequencies because they produce patterns that emerge in nature on all different scales. From electrons circling around a nucleus to planets circling around a star.
From bubbles in foam to possible multiverses in dimensions our minds cannot grasp. There is always pattern and structure in what seems random and chaotic.
My fxhash project T.O.E. is an abstract artistic vision of the quantum realm. It is inspired by pattern that emerge in the architecture of atoms; the inner arrangement of solid matter, like e.g. crystallisation; by images generated in particle collisions; by visualisations of string and brane theories and by the energy I can feel everywhere around me.
Disclaimer: The math behind this project is not based on real physic formulas
This is a constantly changing artwork. Keep in mind that each time you reload your iteration or resize the canvas, even though your preferred parameters stay the same, the appearance of the artwork changes!
5 Base forms
12 Behaviour pattern
10 Color palettes
You have some keyboard functionality:
Switch modes
[I] show info overlay
[r] reset current drawing without reloading
[p] pause for admiration
[f] show fullscreen
[s] save the current screen as png ATTENTION! The current image will reset! (since T.O.E is dynamic you can only save your current screen resolution. Redrawing in higher resolutions would create different results)
[Right arrow] - cycle through the color palette to set different background colors - the current drawing resets
Have fun exploring the Theory Of Everything
