Stratum

28 January 2023•TEZOS•IPFS
A stratum is the result of millions of years of sedimentary rock deposition. Sedimentary rock layers are gradually accumulated during this process as they are laid down in horizontal bands. Additionally, tectonic activity, which can result in strata folding and faulting, might have an impact on this process. Over time, the stratum will eventually be covered, but tectonic activity or erosion may reveal it first. Geologists can then examine these samples to learn more about the Earth's past.
