Stillsuit takes a couple of seconds to render. In that time, an army of sand particles emerge from the left of the canvas, spilling across the screen and shifting up or down according to hash-based noise values. Some tinting and opacity is applied according to vertical position, as well as position within the array of sand particles. This process is repeated a limited number of times, accounting for the slight render time, as well as the rapid but visible construction of the image.

There are a number of possiblities: a uniform array of sand, marching into the distance; separate mirage-striations, equally spaced as dwell points for attracted sand particles; a relatively-high horizon, or a low sun, should you prefer; a dune-like arrangement of increasingly-ordered stripes.
