Splits:
100% of primary revenues go to KT1KYfj97fpdomqyKsZSBdSVvh9afh93b4Ge, the smart contract set up for donations for #Tezos4Iran, an event in solidarity with the protests and to raise awareness for women's rights in Iran.
-----------------------
Controls:
F11 -> fullscreen mode (alternatively you should be able to do this from your browser menu)
s -> save a png of the image
1-8 -> set the pixel density and re-render (default is 5, higher means higher resolution final image; the preview image is generated with a value of 5, at 1080x1080px)
-----------------------
Statement:
skyscapers is a showcase of entropy locking. There are three different modes of entropy locking possible for a given piece: Random Chance (in which a random number is used to determine if the seed is reset or not), Consistent by Frame Count (in which it is reset every five frames), or None (no entropy locking is used). This allows one to appreciate the way the entropy locking creates emergent patterns out of highly random generators, and how subtle differences in how you lock the entropy can have large consequences for the art.
I called this piece skyscrapers because I often see two (related) things when viewing it. One is skyscrapers close up from the side, showing the condo balconies and windows, with vines and plants maybe hanging down at times. The other is a city from far above, as if from a satellite image, but the city, once modern, is now ancient and abandoned. Perhaps humanity is extinct in this world.
The intended viewing is in fullscreen mode. Just set it up and leave it running, it should never repeat a sequence. Once it's fullscreen press ctrl+r to get it to refresh and scale for the display.
