In this piece I explore the constrast of spine chilling, anxiety inducing dangers, yet capable of absolute calmness, possible in the anticipation of a storm. In a absolute show of power, the storm may be the looming danger of a flooded village, and the bless that nourishes crops and soothes the spirit.


Randomness influence the shape and motion of the stormy sky. A combination of noises and displacements is responsible for ever unique mountains. Details layers are composed on top of the image, blocks dissolving agains the winds. For the brightest details there are two versions: Blocky and Thin. One reinforcing the menace of the storm, the other evoking the subtleties of the cloud shapes.
