Mark is driving a small rental car and Rins is sitting next to him taking pictures of the landscapes they pass on their way to Friesland for a short vacation and escape from the city.

Mark, a creative coder and Rinske, a visual artist who loves color.
Both love simple but strong compositions and loved creating this generative artwork together.
Mark created the brush , the color palette comes from Rins . She chose 17 colors that recombine into a palette on the fly, allowing for thousands of beautiful color combinations.

These ‘Frisian landscapes’ are made completely with code, in p5.js and no pre-drawn images are used in the compositions.

Mark has programmed custom fills that use lots of lines to emulate the look of brush strokes, that form layers of paint on a canvas.

The trees, the clouds, the city in the background, everything is generated by code and randomness.
