A “Puppeteer” consists of one or two abstract animated hands with fingers which are controlled by strings from above as well as exercise control via strings over something below. It is quite mesmerizing and a little bit creepy to watch the hands float around constrained by their strings. In some variations they almost seem to dance.

The hands and fingers are placed and sized randomly with some constraints. The initial segment lengths of a finger are arranged in the “golden ratio”. Each joint has a unique movement pattern and thus influencing the attached finger segments and strings.

Some variations are more common than others.

The most common variation would be a two handed “Puppeteer” with five fingers per hand on dark background with neon color palette and strings above and below.

The other extreme in terms of rarity would be a one handed “Puppeteer” with 2 or 6 fingers on light background with grey color palette and no strings attached.
