Haiku (俳句) is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Traditional haikus consist of 3 phrases that contain 17 syllables in a 5, 7, 5 pattern and a kigo : a seasonal or time reference. This generated artwork draws on the aesthetic of lo-fi punk to create a series of unique poems, digitally animated to bring out the violence of the 80s counterculture in opposition to the sweet poetry of traditional haikus.
