Privacy has become a forgotten concept in the modern world.

All that free software you use - Search engines such as Google or Firefox, huge social networks like Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin, even websites such as Amazon - how do they make a profit? Well, the answer can be found in the phrase "If you're not paying for the product, you are the product". The idea can be dated back to 1973, which was expressed in the movie titled "Television Delivers People".

But, why should you even worry about it? What if you don't really mind them collecting your data? Well, the main problem isn't in the collection, it's in the way the data can be distributed. There are tonns of examples when private data was leaked to the public in a security breach, even extremely sensitive information such as addresses. And with enough money or power, you have a very high chance of obtaining the data in question.

Many people know the phrase "Big Brother is watching you", used in the book "1984" by George Orwell. Well, reality is quite close, since Uncle Sam is the one watching you.
