This piece "Hypnos"(from the greek word "Ὕπνος" - sleep) was inspired by the experimental Dada art film "Anémic Cinema" by Marcel Duchamp(as his alias Rrose Sélavy) in partnership with Man Ray(this was his only dada film). Duchamp's Rotoreliefs produced optical illusions when turned, so they were filmed by the duo atop a spinning platform. This piece is a recreation of a sketch that was made years ago using p5js and the possibilities of graphical output are endless. The direction and speed of rotation are random, as well as the starting position of the "petals" that make the illusion possible. The hipnotic nature of the piece as well as the characteristic that it can change over time makes so that you can stare at it por hours(not recommended at all) and, if you do, it may trick your eyes over a period of time. Depending on the hash, after looking at the center of the image for 1 minute, you can look at a surface with details and observe the shifts in reality made by our eyes because of the continuous movement of the piece.
