This piece was inspired by a very annoying occurrence: the optical flare. These annoying, overexposed spots that show up in photos have many different names, depending on who is asked, but for the sake of art I have decided to call it an "optical flare". This piece is all about what the optical flares do to photographs, and how they get there. In this work I am not only going to talk about what this strange phenomena does to photos and film but also how it affects future generations of photographers.
