a group of squares of varying shapes and sizes queued gently outside of ｔｈｅ ｇｒｉｄ.
they were then thrown in heedless of their criticisms and concerns and were flung along to points beyond. those that escaped were forced back into ｔｈｅ ｇｒｉｄ to careen against the rushing flow.

some ｔｈｅ ｇｒｉｄ are slow, meandering flows. like condensation dripping off a cold beer bottle. other ｔｈｅ ｇｒｉｄ are fast, frenetic flows. like a water jet blasting away caked-on paint.

only some squares were injured in this ｔｈｅ ｇｒｉｄ experiment. their families were duly compensated.
