Textiles and fabrics have become a love of mine. Vibrant rugs from Teotitlán del Valle in Mexico, breezy linen from Europe, velvety merino wool from New Zealand, and even plush sheepskin from the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This piece, however, is an homage to the holy grail of woven goods - the magic carpet. It's used by legends such as Prince Husain, Solomon, Aladdin, and even written about by Mark Twain in his "Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven".

This project draws 50,000 cubes in 2d space using p5.js, using mathematical rules shared by @yuanchuan23 to create the patterns, simple coloring for light and shadows, and noise to simulate the carpet in mid-flight.

There are 6 patterns (one is rarer), 5 coloring styles (one is very rare), and a full suite of colors with controls to ensure they're visually pleasing.
