Living color dots is a cellular automata represented by color dots which give unique evolving paintings.
The dots try to expand while there is space available. They have a life span after they die.
The waves you see happen as dots die and the children get born given a set of very basic rules.
It's an ecosystem of colors where, sometimes, at the end only one color is able to survive.
