Broken can be beautiful. Flaws, imperfection, signs of age and wear add character and give a sense of history.

It's true of pottery and it's true of many other things.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. (Wikipedia)

This 100% generative system creates pottery designs inspired by the philosophy of Kintsugi. All the bowls are cracked and repaired with gold. Some have small engraved messages. Colors and bowl shapes are not necessarily based on traditional Japanese designs. Color and vessel shape vary greatly.
