This work is a tribute to Victor Vasarely.

The algorithm reproduces part of the visual grammar of certain works by the artist and extends the resources used in his works by incorporating new elements. Each work is defined by the superposition of 2 or 3 layers made up of a grid of figures: squares, circles or triangles, each of which can be filled or hollow.

Each layer has an evolution gradient that affects its color, and that can also affect other parameters of the figures in the grid, such as size, transparency, rotation or displacement. There are at least 8 different types of gradients that can affect each of these parameters.

At the same time, each layer can be affected by a subdivision into sectors that make changes to shapes, gradients, colors and the rest of the parameters. These subdivisions can be in the form of checkerboards, in either vertical or horizontal halves, or within an internal section.

The combination between the number of layers, their resolution (number of rows and columns of the grid), the subdivisions of the layers, the figures that are applied to each subdivision, and the gradients applied to the colors, sizes, rotations , transparencies and offset, generates a combinatorial explosion that is difficult to measure, but that undoubtedly generates thousands of different configurations within this visual grammar.
