Heaven & Hell
IPFS
17 April 2022•TEZOS•IPFS
Heaven & Hell is a companion work to my genesis mint on fxhash, Doors of Perception.
Doors of Perception was inspired by Aldous Huxley's book of the same name, the title taken from William Blake's metaphor for his own book 'The Marriage Of Heaven & Hell'. As you can see below, this metaphor is self explanatory...
“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern”
The concept of '7 Heavens' dates back to the Mesopotanian era, and can be found in Christanity, Hinduism, Islamic, and other religious doctrines.
The '9 Circles' (layers) are taken from Dante's 14th-century poem 'Inferno', describing Dante's journey through Hell.
———————————
- This collection has been written with original code, without the use of dependencies
- Layers are randomly determined to between 1 and 7/9 respectively
- Each iteration generates an infinite non-looping output from the determined colours at mint
- Image adjusts to all screen ratios
- Randomly allocated 1143 colours
- Code size at 21 kb
- Press 's' key to save as 'Heaven & Hell.png'
Rarity will only be determined once the collection has minted out.
