Gradient Rect

Gradient Rect generates an image with many rectangular color gradients. Depending on the number and size of the rectangles generated, there may be collisions and overlap that bring the gradient rectangles together as part of a larger picture. In cases of limited or no overlap, the sparsity may highlight the composition created by filled and empty space. With several colorways and randomization of each feature, there are many possibilities that will allow for each image to be unique.

Gradient Rect was based on an algorithm originally developed to serve as a background image that transitions from one extreme color to another (#ff0000, #00ff00, #0000ff, #ffff00, #00ffff, or #ff00ff). Expanding on that, the algorithm used in Gradient Rect is capable of fading from any color in the RGB spectrum to any other color in the RGB spectrum and applies this in a loop at randomly chosen locations on the canvas. While the colors may be completely random, they can also be chosen from a palette, or a mixture of the two.
