Funny, raunchy and delightful, this movie is one of the best teen comedies ever made. It has hilarious one liners, memorable characters and relatable situations. One thing that I really want to point out is that despite being a raunchy sex comedy this movie is not at all demeaning to women and is not misogynistic, maybe because it was helmed by a woman or maybe Cameron Crowe's script did not contain all the offensive things that objectify women that were present in almost all comedies of the 80s and I really respect that. In fact, the lead character of the movie, in spite of what the posters will have you believe, is Stacy Hamilton played very well by Jennifer Jason Leigh and her character's arc is respected and well executed. Sean Penn as the stoner Jeff Spicoli is the highlight of the movie. He is the kind of guy present in every class in every school. A very enjoyable movie and completely holds up.
