This 3d animated work is composed almost completely of HTML + CSS. There is a limited amount of javascript to construct the scene and facilitate interactive controls. 🚫 <canvas>!

A bit of history about this approach: As my first coding language HTML and CSS holds a special place in my heart. Even when I jumped into 3D my first creations were made with just some html + css coded in notepad. Earlier this year I took this idea to the next level with a yet-to-be-released 3D bedrooms project, filling it with objects and ever-refining my scene construction practice. This system for scene construction became the basis for a few other generative projects here on fxhash under my pseudonym htmlcss.tez. Here I abandon my usual representational focus with this technique and dive right into the abstract.
