Magnetic tape is a tape material containing magnetic layer for recording sound, image, digital or other signals. It is a magnetic recording material with the largest output and the widest use. It is usually formed by coating a layer of granular magnetic material on the plastic film base (support) or evaporating a layer of magnetic oxide or alloy film. Paper and celluloid have been used as tape base. Now polyester film with high strength, good stability and not easy to deform is mainly used.
