BLOCKSTARS is a cross platform project on fxhash and 8bidou pointing out the importance of longevity of NFT art. The project consists of 100 hand drawn 24x24 px avatars.

This is my first conceptional artwork showing the difference between off and on-chain nfts.

The collector generates an off-chain token on Fxhash pointing to the on-chain artwork stored on 8bidou. The Fxhash token servers as a link to the original artwork pointing to the stored image.

The QR code is the reference to off-chain images data storage on the blockchain that is revealed via the image scan linking to the visible on-chain artwork.

In on-chain the token itself is the artwork which is stored directly on the blockchain.

After the reveal of the QR code the unique 1/1 24x24 pixel Blockstar will be airdropped to the first collector. The art and the metadata is stored within the token itself, making it as immutable as the blockchain itself.

The projects aims to show the importance of decentralized data security in web3. to guarantee the longlivity of the artwork it’s using the on-chain technology limited for now available for artists on the tezos blockchain.
