If you are not familiar with the Sierpinski triangle, it is a simple pattern that can be created by starting with a triangle and then repeatedly folding the edge of the triangle over on top of itself. This infinite recursive process will cause one side to meet at a point and form a pentagon.

The fractal nature of this design is what makes it so beautiful to look at, but also what makes it hard for humans to create using traditional methods.
