There are many "cheap" or even "free" artworks available on FXHASH and OBJKT, but not all of them are enigmatic treasures. I have conducted some research to assess the value of both the art and the artist. Valuing art and artists is a complex and multifaceted process, and different individuals may prioritize different factors. The value of an artist is subjective and can vary depending on personal taste, market trends, and the specific context of the art world. Here are some aspects to consider when assessing the value of an artist:

• Artistic Skill and Technique : Evaluate the artist's technical proficiency, creativity, and innovation in their chosen medium. Assess their ability to convey emotions, ideas, and concepts through their artwork.

However, in general, enigmatic treasures are artworks created by artists who are not yet popular, without market demand, and have not received awards, but may have participated in a few small exhibitions. The value of an artist extends beyond their creative output; it encompasses their persona and personal brand. Artists possess a unique essence that distinguishes them from others and shapes their artistic identity.

One aspect of an artist's value lies in their persona. This refers to their individuality, authenticity, and the narrative they project to the world. I will not recount a tale of how to acquire or fill my 5TezCollection like other writers. Instead, I will delve into the reasons behind the lack of shine and desirability surrounding these beautiful artworks. My inquiry begins with a fundamental question: "Why do most of these gems remain dull?"

As mentioned earlier, the value of art and the artist are crucial considerations. In this discussion, I will explain why both deserve recognition and appreciation, while also acknowledging the need for continuous improvement. It's important to note that these views reflect my personal perspective.

Branding yourself in Web3

The moment I laid my eyes on fx_donutshops, I was captivated by its vibrant color gradient. It embodies a simple yet compelling style of pop art, and undoubtedly possesses various intriguing generative traits. Furthermore, it serves as a banner that I can potentially use on my Twitter or blog, and the best part is, I acquired it through a free mint. I am proud to be the 717th minter out of a total of 2500 (on going).

I am truly curious as to why Butternut Deluxe decided to transition to a new account, SuperDonutBros, instead of continuing with the old one. The creator's (Dirty Black Ghost) artworks are undeniably captivating, with one of their pieces, fx_doughs, successfully minting 8008 generative art on FXHASH. In addition to their presence on Tezos, they have also ventured into creating collections on Ethereum. Their creations exhibit a delightful sense of humor, featuring various donut-themed superhero characters or other familiar characters with donut-shaped heads. Personally, I find them incredibly amusing.

However, it is evident that they have not prioritized nurturing a strong connection with collectors, lacking in effective communication and instead appearing to exploit their audience. Unfortunately, this behavior is not uncommon among other creators, and thus, it does not come as a surprise. Nevertheless, it is crucial to forge an emotional bond with collectors, as it is through this connection that a thriving community can be built.

PFP is still matter

CryptoPunks' art style has become a major source of inspiration, largely due to the growing popularity of punk culture. As a result, there is a significant demand for this art style, at least from my subjective perspective without quantitative research. Pixelized, for example, was also inspired by CryptoPunks, and he created a collection called "lazy-punks" on FXHASH, which consists of image compositions. I minted the 141st piece out of the planned 333 pieces (on going).

Parsa Farvadian, the talented artist behind Pixelized, has created a multitude of artworks with distinct styles, and Pixelazid is jut one of his pixel art collections, with at least 20 pixel collections on FXHASH. Therefore, I believe that "lazy-punk" has great potential if the creator remains active, showcasing their presence on various social media platforms, engaging with people, and participating in diverse exhibitions.

I must say, the image composition generative artwork titled "Myth" by Printilun is my favorite profile picture (PFP). I have never come across such a complex image composition before. Additionally, this collection marks Printilun's debut on FXHASH. The artwork itself on Tezos is exceptionally remarkable, in my opinion, as well as what he has created on other blockchains. In essence, the art's quality is outstanding, and the artist's skills are extraordinary. However, in my view, Printilun has yet to be discovered by the art-loving community on Tezos, so they may need to enhance engagement with art collectors on the Tezos platform. I am myth #70/100 (on going).

I have two other PFPs: "One Tezo Drawing_614 #15" by Diego de los Campos and "Just, Steven! #220" by CMYK_MAN. Diego's artwork showcases fantastic scribble art, while CMYK_MAN has a delightful 2D cartoon style. Diego provides the owners of his NFT with a License 2.0, which allows them to commercialize the artwork. This license grants the owners the right to use the artwork for commercial purposes, such as selling merchandise featuring the artwork or using it in promotional materials. It offers an opportunity for the owners to explore the commercial potential of the artwork and potentially generate income from their investment. This initiative by Diego highlights his support for the entrepreneurial spirit of the NFT community and provides an additional incentive for collectors to acquire his NFTs.

Beyond the beauty of their artwork, we seem to lose their presence in the social world. There is minimal interaction on their social media accounts, and even worse, they have been inactive for several months. This is a challenge faced in the digital age where collectors desire interaction with artists, yet artists seem to disappear without a trace. As a result, collectors may feel that purchasing their artwork loses its purpose, as most collectors buy based on the feeling and connection they have with the artist. After all, the value of a product lies in the emotional resonance it creates. Personal branding is a must.

The latest PFP I own is xDeads #5449. This PFP is truly captivating and stands out from the rest for a unique reason. While 8-bit pixel PFPs are quite common, this one is interactive! It goes beyond just the visual aspect and incorporates audio as well. Not only does the image change in terms of colors and shapes, but it also comes with an eerie audio component. While I don't pay too much attention to the audio, the fact that it adds a spooky atmosphere to the artwork enhances the overall experience. It's fascinating to see how this PFP pushes the boundaries of interactivity and creates a more immersive engagement for the collector.

Generative art is always evolving.

Generative art is an ever-evolving form of artistic expression. It continuously pushes the boundaries of creativity and innovation. I am fortunate to own two pieces of fx(params), namely "Azulejos definitivos #109" and "Underwater Schooling #38". These artworks showcase the power of generative art in their unique and captivating compositions. EXE TEE ZET's open edition collection "XTZMYID" on OBJKT showcases a compilation of music works accompanied by distinctive artwork featuring a black background and a looping composition of red, yellow, and blue colors. I mint XTZ Rises. His commitment to his craft and active presence on social media are evident. However, it seems that his works have not gained significant popularity due to limited exposure and outreach. To address this, it is crucial for him to focus on effective marketing and promotion strategies for his music collection. Building a strong online presence, engaging with a wider audience, and exploring collaborations with other artists and music platforms can greatly enhance the appreciation and demand for his work. 8-bit music possesses a mesmerizing charm, evoking nostalgia for classic video games and pixelated graphics. Plastic Tolstoy's collection, 8-BIT tracks, in particular is heavily inspired by sci-fi and video game soundtracks. What makes 8-bit music captivating is its ability to evoke emotions and capture the essence of a bygone era. The simplicity of its melodies and distinctive square waveforms create a recognizable sound palette, while the catchy and repetitive compositions leave a lasting impression. Despite the limitations of early gaming consoles, 8-bit music has proven to be a versatile genre, showcasing creativity and innovation within its seemingly limited sonic range. Plastic Tolstoy is a truly talented and versatile multimedia artist. His ability to seamlessly merge various artistic mediums and techniques is truly remarkable. With such exceptional skills and creativity, it is only a matter of time before he finds his way to greater recognition and acclaim. One possible reason for the perceived lower demand could be the subjective nature of artistic preferences, with individuals being drawn to various forms, themes, and techniques. Additionally, the abundance of available artworks in the digital realm, including digital neon art, can lead to saturation and make it challenging for artists to stand out. Below is LUMOS 002, a work of art by tzdigi that caught my attention. What captivates me about this artwork is its vibrant color combination of cyan and purple, and its unique shape reminiscent of an atom, Son Goku's Kamehameha, or the Rasengan from the anime Naruto. Despite the current lesser popularity of neon art, I am still drawn to acquire it. The allure of this piece lies in its striking colors and distinctive form. Regardless of prevailing trends, each artwork possesses its own charm, and I am keen to add this artwork to my collection as a testament to its uniqueness.
