The origin of this piece was a challenge on Openprocessing to create code based art based on the themes of "Chemistry," "Octaves," "Rain." I wanted to hit them all but how? That's when it hit me there is not really a full artwork that explores all the wonders of the very basic necessity, water.

I finished the first version in October, then the crystals in the week after that to meet the "Crystals" challenge. In the end, it was about a month long journey making the water better and better, until it seemed almost drinkable hopefully.

Many people think programming means typing and typing all the time, but actually the generative artists often make these sort of artifacts, some very rudimentary, but from these scraps we can build universes.

You can check out my creation "Waves of Water" on FXHash, minting in time for #FXHashTurnsOne I am splitting 20% of the generative art minting fees between Pakistan relief, and Openprocessing.
