Reach for the Dead: Death by Donkey vs Letter from Imaginary Friends
written by OoakosiMo
Any tiny seemingly insignificant idea can turn into a powerful demigod or a monstrous killer beast, a cute and cuddly elf or a scary pathological liar of an office-mate. These things exist for a reason. For balance, I guess. Without them we would all just be waiting to die in our comfortable little box.
For creation to happen something usually is destroyed, annihilated. This could mean many things to each individual. Could be ending an old memory of an extremely painful past or recovering from being humiliated or rejected by someone that you admire or just maybe desiring a seductive plate of black forest chocolate cheesecake but cant afford to have. This will pave the way to creating new memories or maybe desires. Why? I guess it forces us to see somethings in a different perspective and forces us to shift our perception and be kinder and more considerate to ourselves and then maybe it will bring compassion for others. Which will allow us to move and flow with what we are provided with by this powerful force or energy from inside us. This could be a punks not dead naughty little boy attitude or an online gamer kind of obsession for collecting your grandma's precious silver falling hair and then maybe using it to our advantage or for helping others.
On helping others, i think, by nature, we are not meant to use our magic abilities for ourselves. I imagine, it is for serving others but it doesn't necessarily mean being a doormat to cunning parasites with greedy agendas.
"Slowly but surely the inevitable will be, so let it be. Our lives are only as short as it should be and when that time comes, nothing else will matter."
Been taking a look at death and how most human's personal relationship with it is, so we can try accept it to be an inevitable thing. Not in a depressing way or some weird dark fantasy. I guess, just want to learn about life and can't quite go all the way until we understand death.
About the image thumbnail: screaming distorted man on the left is also the half naked lady riding the donkey representing death as a trusty vehicle to keep moving and taking whatever route is decided or preferred.
