My work is not something I can define or easily talk about. And this is because I work all the time, so I haven't stopped to think. But last time I did it was about lines and shapes and the surface of the paper. We associate things with other things nonstop and we also quickly grow expectations, emotionally but also in the way our brains process and internalize images. As symbols appear sometimes universal to our perspectives, we also are biased by living in a 3D space. Every time we face a flat image we construct through and make things with, we sort of project our sensitive expectations on the surface. And that's one of the reasons there's no escape from the active role of the viewer in front of a visual work of art. When a work is seen, there's constant motion and links. This hypertextual nature of art makes every individual act of will a tiny gesture within a sea with huge waves.
