Junho is a book, Junho is a web3 project. Launched in December 2023, 7 out of 101 were minted, and now a new phase begins.

The Book

Junho is an experimental literature, a blend of psychedelic fiction and political journalism, heavily inspired by Beatnik literature. It is set in Rio de Janeiro in June 2013, during the protests that took over the streets of Brazil. The book has an ISBN and is the first NFT edition registered with the Brazilian Book Chamber. The original version is in Portuguese, with 101 copies issued as ERC 721 contract by Studio Manifold. Token-gated access to the book and other content is available through the author's webpage.

The Project

More than just a book, Junho is a Write3 project (Write + Web3).

Utility

First and foremost, art is the utility. It is rich in literary value and historically relevant.

2.1 Flames of June Illustration Collection

The first illustration was an open edition. The second illustration was distributed to the first buyers. The next 2 illustrations will be distributed to holders throughout the upcoming project phases. The number of editions for each illustration will depend on the number of holders at the end of each phase.

3.1 Royalty Distribution

As part of the project, holders of Junho will receive a percentage of the royalties from secondary market sales (book and illustrations) and a percentage of the profits from Intellectual Property.

3.1.1 Percentage of Royalties from Secondary Market Sales

The NFTs of the book and the illustrations from the Flames of June collection have a 5% / 10% royalty on secondary market sales. Out of this amount, 21% will be distributed among holders of the book June (1% for the special autographed edition, 20% divided among the remaining 100 editions).

3.1.2 Percentage of Profits from Intellectual Property

The author is the sole owner of the Intellectual Property. All rights to the book Junho are exclusive to the author.

Contracts entered into by the author that exploit the content of Junho, in physical or digital media, will distribute 11% of the net profit to holders of the book Junho.

Division among holders: The royalties will be distributed annually in the month of June. Each NFT entitles the holder to 0.1% of the annual royalties.

A snapshot will be taken quarterly on the first day of June, September, December, and March. The percentage for each NFT will be divided among the snapshots, meaning the holder present in all 4 snapshots will receive the full amount. The first snapshot was taken on 01/06/2023, with 6 holders out of 7 editions.

Ongoing Intellectual Property Contracts

A 2-year contract for the physical publication of the book Junho was signed with Editora Telha (CNPJ - no 34.062.758/0001-76).

Next Steps for the June Project

- For holders in the July snapshot, the third illustration from the Flames of June collection will be distributed.

- The translation into English is in progress. Some chapters of the ongoing translation will be minted separately on the Readl platform, readl.co (currently available are the introduction and chapter 1).

- Creation of the new design for the author's website.

- Production of the interactive tokenized version of the book to be acquired through Burn Reden mechanisms.

Junho é uma literatura experimental, mistura de ficção psicodélica e jornalismo político, muito inspirado na literatura Beatnik. É ambientado no Rio de Janeiro em junho de 2013, época das revoltas que tomaram as ruas do Brasil. O livro tem ISBN, é o primeiro livro em edição NFT registrado na câmara brasileira do livro. 3.1 Distribuição de Royalties

Como parte do projeto, os holders de Junho receberão uma porcentagem dos Royalties de venda no mercado secundário (livro e ilustrações) e uma porcentagem dos lucros com Propriedade Intelectual.

3.1.1 Porcentagem dos Royalties de venda no mercado secundário

As NFTs do livro e as ilustrações da coleção Flames of June têm como royalties de venda secundária 5% / 10%. Deste valor, 21% será distribuído entre holders do livro Junho (1% para a edição especial autografada, 20% dividido entre as 100 edições restantes).

3.1.2 Porcentagem dos lucros com Propriedade Intelectual

O autor é o único proprietário da Propriedade Intelectual. Todos os direitos da obra Junho são de exclusividade do autor.

Contratos fechados pelo autor, que explorem o conteúdo de junho, em mídias físicas ou digitais, têm 11% do lucro líquido distribuído aos holders do livro Junho.

Divisão entre os holders: Os royalties serão distribuídos anualmente no mês de junho. Cada NFT dá o direito a 0,1% dos Royalties anuais.

Um snapshot será feito trimestralmente sempre no primeiro dia dos meses de junho,setembro, dezembro e março. A porcentagem de cada NFT será fracionada entre os snapshots, ou seja, o holder que estiver presente nos 4 snapshots receberá o valor completo. O primeiro snapshot foi tirado no dia 01/06/2023, constando 6 holders de 7 edições.

Próximos Passos do Projeto Junho

- Para os holders do snapshot de 01/07/2023 será distribuída a terceira ilustração da coleção Flames of June.

- A tradução para inglês está em andamento. Alguns capítulos da tradução em andamento serão mintados em separado na plataforma Readl, readl.co (no momento estão disponíveis a introdução e o capítulo 1).

- Criação do novo design do site do Autor.
