hic et nunc x 2021 - virtual crypto art exhibition
written by peterschmidler
The group exhibition features most of the main categories in Digital Arts, such as video art, photography, illustration, 3D art, generative art, AI art, word art, pixel art, glitch art, concept art and sound art and thus offers a broad overview of the early crypto art scene on the Tezos blockchain with a maximum of three distinct artworks per unique artist.
All artworks were collected by Peter Schmidler between March 2021 until early 2022, during the short timeframe in which the Digital Arts platform hic et nunc was alive, but which had a tremendous impact on the flourishing of Digital Arts minted on the Tezos blockchain.
Due to the decentralized nature of the ecosystem, based on blockchains, smart contracts and distributed filesystems, all artworks are still live and are continued being traded on platforms such as Teia.
The artworks have been thoroughly curated and hung by Peter Schmidler in "Altitude", an immersive 3D space on the OnCyber platform designed by meta architect 0xWolfgang, which can be virtually visited with VR headsets on big screens or mobile devices, and which was minted itself as an NFT with an edition size of 465.
Additionally the entire exhibition may be experienced in a 2D gallery on the Deca.art platform, where each artwork can be viewed in its native multimedia file format at a maximum resolution.
Peter Schmidler sends out special thanks and huge gratitude to all 70 supporting artists, Rafael Lima of hic et nunc, the Teia community, Cyber.io and Deca.art for their art, vision and technology.
