Goodbye Hic et Nunc
written by Poppel
HEN was complicated. It was built on a decentralised network, yet it had a centralised ruling. It has attracted artists globally, yet there was a tint of (I would say a healthy amount) of nationalism from Brazil/South America as its driving force. It was by underdogs, for underdogs. It was born when NFTs were becoming more mainstream, yet it stayed (wonderfully) non-mainstream and often got shunned in the NFT space. Some see it as a Zeitgeist, some see it as a piece of juicy pie. It was a revolution for digital art/assets, yet unplugged half-way. HEN was a lot of things, maybe one of its kind, because of the combination of the things above. I'm afraid it will not be the same, no matter how we try to revive it.
