I really enjoyed working on Yashinoki - it allowed me to explore creating organic forms that related to where I live. You can read more about that project it the companion article I wrote:

Yashinoki - creating organic forms with code

The project seemed to resonate with a lot of people, maybe because those organic forms somehow connected with the human need for a connection with nature?

One tweet in particular from @nftforhumans commented on the "perfectly imperfect" "wabi sabi" aethetic. I was so happy reading this - wabi sabi style was exactly what I was aiming for.

For my next project, I wanted to explore using these organic shapes but in a much more precise way.

What would happen if I took the natural forms of Yashinoki and dissected them into composable shapes? Can you create precise geometric arrangements with imperfect, organically "grown" forms? Will it still retain that "wabi sabi" feel?

I hope you enjoy Kaibō.
