Before we get into new content, let's take a look at some updates from artists highlighted in previous editions of this article series.
Sapirco
Sapirco has risen! The floor on the previously highlighted Pashut has increased over 20 times since my first article! Much of this movement has been following the news of Sapirco's Balagan on the gm.studio platform. This movement was always well deserved and is exactly the kind of opportunity this article series strives to identify early!
Qotonana
We are still waiting for a major breakout from Qotonana. However, I was a HUGE fan of their latest, Voyage. I couldn't have more confidence in an artist for their continued growth and success.
Dirbots
Dirbots was a very early call in the last edition having been noticed after their first two projects. They now have a total of 7 projects under their belt. Their most notable project being Resorting which is currently holding a 20tz floor. Such a consistent and disciplined progression is one of the key attributes I look for in up and coming artists.
Waiting on September
Many of us remember looking at Teaboswell as an inevitable star in this space. It wasn't all that long before he dropped September, a true icon. This section is dedicated to artists who are already very well established and it seems to only be a matter of time before they too release a project that blows the entire community away.
Patakk
Every one of patakk's 8 drops on fxhash have been quite successful. I'll be very excited for any future drops they might bring to the platform!
Elsif
A quick note here, Elsif released For Algernon while I was in the middle of drafting this article which has quickly became their most successful project in terms of floor price. It's a project that has the merits of a grail collection, but only time will tell.
Revdancatt
I hope that you won't accuse me of cheating by including Revdancatt who is a well established artists with multiple drops on Artblocks and a handful of Tender icons as well! I still suspect that time is all that matters when it comes to something that will send the fxHash community into a furor over Revdancatt's back catalogue of work.
KilledByAPixel
So many interesting and well executed projects. So many different styles and techniques! I strongly encourage you to go back through their history and just imagine what so many of these projects would do if they were to mint today. I have a feeling that if you polled 10 collectors on their favorite KilledByAPixel project, you'll very likely get 10 different answers. That diversity and breadth of reach is quite a bullish indicator to me.
Chris McCully
The love for Chris's work is through the roof right now. But, that still hasn't quite managed to blow the roof off of any of their projects. Every new project has had me expecting that it is bound to be the one and I have no intention of giving up on that!
whitekross
Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting) was obviously huge. Though, it was a pretty limited run with only 77 editions. I would not be surprised at all to see whitekross finding an opportunity to release on another platform. What do you think is going to happen to the 20tz floor on the 100 edition Tender Icon Crossing if that were to happen?
Got My Eye on You
While there's no magic formula for identifying artists who are bound for a breakout, consistency is the most important factor for me as a collector. While I respect everyone putting time into developing interesting work, it's meaningful to mean when artists work towards a level of consistency that shows that THEY are finding confidence in themselves. So, all artists I'll be including below have at least two projects that have caught my attention.
